Harry Michaels, the confessed soccer fanatic, caused a stir-up when he threatened to walk away from soccer if changes weren’t made to the system. 

After the success of  the Greek Variety Show , Michaels was commissioned to make a series of variety specials on the beautiful island of Malta called  Welcome to Malta . Michaels and his Australian film crew flew to Malta for a week’s shooting.  Welcome to Malta  represented a breakthrough for Michaels production credits, who, up until this point, produced only Greek programs
